The human movie captures persons from different parts of the world. I have learned that there exist multiple definitions of love amongst persons (Human the movie, 2015). To others, love has contributed tremendously towards achieving successful families. However, some individuals receive little or no love from their spouses and appear to be desperate for it, like in the case of Nar from Burma. Jorge from Brazil considers love to be a complicated feeling and thus prefers having three lovers in life. Love to other persons is a nightmare and the worst experience of their lives. Abeer from Lebanon describes how his husband makes her life a nightmare by stubbing her. Basically, love needs many sacrifices, which is seen in the case of Peter from South Africa, whose wife gets ill and he is subjected to taking the role of a nurse in his wife’s life, something he claims to do gladly (Human the movie, 2015). Additionally, women have addressed the issue of discrimination, and the movie has involved the different economic activities practiced in different parts of the world.
The interesting part of this movie is how gender equality has been promoted with representations across the world to give their opinions on the impact of love on life. However, it is shocking to discover the difficulties little girls face in the presence of their step-fathers. For instance, Kadia from Senegal confesses to having been raped by her stepfather at the age of eleven years, which is so sad. The touching part is the extent Peter from South America goes to ensure her wife is okay even after being ill for years (Human the movie, 2015). I entirely agree with the views given by some females addressing the issue of discrimination against women. I believe that both men and women are equal with respect to different matters such as employment, decision-making, politics, and roles in society. Love is a complicated feeling, just as mentioned by the different persons featured in the movie. However, I believe that it is significant to understand the importance of this feeling in our lives. The incorporation of love as part and parcel of our lives is bound to bring about many advantages.
Different responses have been given to the question, ‘what love is’ and ‘whether it is better to be a man than a woman.’ I believe that everyone cannot have the same response because they all have different experiences about love. Some have positive impacts from the feeling, whereas others have negative impacts. We are all allowed to give our opinions concerning the same. Besides, females have addressed that males’ lives are easy, which might be true to some extent. However, I believe that both genders are subjected to many responsibilities towards achieving the set goals of their lives. For instance, a female may be subjected to giving birth, but then the man of the house has to tire all day to ensure the family is well catered for. I believe that from this movie, it is important everyone lives the life they really want and not a forced life. For any woman that wishes to be independent, they should decline any marriages where they are not allowed to work. Career-wise, persons need to engage themselves with the type of professions they are interested in rather than having to indulge in a profession against one’s interests (Human the movie, 2015). It is important to value everyone’s views on different issues because we are not aware of the experiences that each of us goes through.
Anthropology is the study of humanity concerned with human behavior, cultures, and societies in both the present and the past. The human movie captures the ways of life in different parts of the world (Human the movie, 2015). In Pakistan, fishing has been identified as the main economic activity. In Nepal, the individuals are observed engaging in pastoralism as a way to better their means of livelihood. Besides, the experiences of various individuals have been captured in the movie. Ethnography is a branch of anthropology that deals with the study of different individual cultures. For instance, in Mongolia, horse riding has been identified as a key activity taught to children at a young age. Besides, they are keepers of cattle. In China, many restrictions have been put in place, especially in the factories. The workers in these firms are not allowed to talk, receive phone calls or visit the washroom before seeking permission from the supervisors.
Work is a very critical aspect of humanity regardless of the difficulties involved. Work helps improve one’s standards of living. My favorite part of this movie is when the females stand up for themselves, a sign that they know what they want and are willing to stop at nothing until they achieve it. For example, Aida from Senegal goes her separate from her husband (Human the movie, 2015). This is because she discovers that her marriage is a hindrance to her success.  Carolyn from England is another victim of unsuccessful marriages. She ends her marriage after nineteen years of unhappiness and decides to take a different direction comprising of new decisions to achieve a happy life. She quits her career and decides to re-train. Besides, she proposes to a woman they seem to have been in love for a responsible period of time. Her life is thus transformed from being a heterosexual to a lesbian mother, which she considers a great experience (Human the movie, 2015). This shows how females are ready to fight for their happiness and dreams regardless of the circumstances involved.
The human movie is an informative and inspiring film that captures the concept of humanity in different societies practicing different cultures. It captures the different experiences that persons have to go through to achieve a better life with respect to the concept of love and work. However, it is a great movie because it captures persons from both genders in all the parts across the world to identify the type of cultures that each society practices.
