Problem of overfishing
Fishing has been a main economic activity to many communities that live around lakes and seas that support these aquatic animals’ lives. At times, if no control is exercised, we can have a major problem in the whole process. At times even the fishing method has to be looked at before being around as it can have adverse effects on the fish’s lives. This essay addresses the problems associated with a poor fishing method and the possibility of small-scale fishing becoming sustainable.  Personal perceptions on whether setting a limit over for fishing is a remedy to making the monitoring process easy and providing a remedy to the problem is as well provided.
Fishing using the wrong choice method can lead to the extinction of species in the ocean or the sea (Jonsson, 2019). The under-controlled method by far leaves the fishermen with the freedom to fish to exceeding levels, making it rather risky as within the first few months, the highest possibility is that the oceans will run out of fish. At times, the fishing method can also cause physical damages to the fish, leading to their death. A consequent interference with the egg-laying surfaces for fish is threatened to challenge the reproduction process as a large reducing limiting increase in the fish population.
Small-scale fishing, however much of a remedy it would see to the problem of overfishing, would not be sustained for long (Okeke &Gray, 2021). Most fishers will respond by a far and advocate against it that it makes their chances of survival low as most of them are dependent on fishing to put something on the table for their families. What remains as an option is large-scale fishing despite the risks associated with it.
Setting a limit for fishing would remedy the problem of overfishing (Merayo, et al., 2018). For instance, we can set the number of fishers operating in a day as being not more than ten, with each one of them not allowed to fish more than 50 fish to the count. Having regulators for this program and those who will exercise full control in the oceans to see this will be necessary to help see this program become a success. The problem of overfishing will be addressed accordingly, getting things back to normal.
