I’m working on a Political Science question and need guidance to help me study.

There are several key learning points in this chapter:

1. Identify the contradictory forces faced by all international organizations.
2. Use functionalist theory to describe the founding & the growth of the European Union (EU).
3. Describe the growth of the EU in terms of the number of members and identify two challenges arising from the increase in membership.
4. Explain two ways in which information can be a tool for governments and two ways in which information can be a tool used against governments.

1. This week we have two readings. Please feel free to write a reaction paper on one of the following: The first reading is Alina Polyakova and Benjamin Haddad’s “Europe Alone: What Comes After the Transatlantic Alliance.” The other is Keisha Blain, “Civil Rights International: The Fight Against Racism Has Always Been Global.” Those readings can be found here on Blackboard below. What do Polyakova and Haddad say are the main factors threatening the transatlantic relationship between Europe and the US? What kind of transformation would they like to see, especially in terms of a response from European leaders? What do you think of their argument or its implications?
