● Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
● Ulcerative colitis
For your chosen condition complete the following sections:
1) What is the epidemiology and aetiology of the patient’s condition? Are there any predisposing factors? Explore any reasons that might explain the statistics and facts that you are finding. 5) Consider if there are any red flags associated with the condition that you should be aware of. Assess any changes that might be seen in the patient’s case whilst they have homeopathic treatment that may cause you to refer back to the patient’s GP. (10%)
6) Discuss the main orthodox medical treatment for the condition (don’t forget this may include other methods besides pharmaceutical drugs). Consider when one treatment strategy may be favoured over another (15%).
7) From a therapeutic perspective choose three main remedies that could be used in the treatment of the patient’s condition and justify your choices through the correlation of the remedy picture to the condition’s symptom picture (20%).
8) Consider any relevant adjunctive advice the patient may benefit from (this may include lifestyle changes, nutritional advice, use of tinctures, dealing with maintaining causes etc) (10%).
