INSTRUCTIONS

The objective of this paper is to apply the theories presented to you in the text and in the lectures and apply the knowledge on the real-business example/company. You may choose a company, for which you will write a paper of approximately 2,000 words maximum, which contains recommendations to the following questions:

 

1. In what ways can managers at each of the three levels of management contribute to organizational efficiency and effectiveness?

2. Define organizational culture, and explain how managers both create and are influenced by organizational culture.

3. Identify the main forces in both the global task and general environments and describe the challenges that each force presents to managers.

4. Differentiate between the main types of business-level strategies and corporate-level strategies and explain how they are used to strengthen competitive advantage.

5. How can managers motivate group members to achieve organizational goals?

6. Explain why performance appraisal and feedback are such crucial activities and list the choices managers must make in designing effective performance appraisal and feedback procedures.
