Just read the case and look for factors that might differentiate Dr. Connor’s clinic from other cataracts clinics

Question 2

For the first part of the questions, you have to figure out what would happen if the number of no-shows, people who arrive at the clinic for intake but do not check-in at the clinic for the surgery, would be cut in half. By how much would the number of surgeries increase? You have to calculate that percentage change. Please round to two decimal places.
For the second part of the question, calculating the capacity utilization for staff by type, you can use the formulas I used to calculate capacity utilization (first page of the assignment file) but now you have to use the new numbers from having more surgeries. You can use Exhibit 2 – Process Flow to determine Total annual minutes task job/job title for the new number of surgeries.

Question 3

You can use Exhibit 5 – Financial to determine the initial pre-tax profit, and then, using the information provided in the assignment file, calculate the new revenues and costs for the new number of surgeries. One clarification about total surgeon wages calculation – you can assume that Dr. Connors is performing the same number of surgeries as before, and the other surgeons are performing the rest of the surgeries.
