1. Warehouse Setup

Read Chapter 7, “Set Up Your Warehouse”, in Magaya Supply Chain Solution Operations Manual, beginning with the section “Create an Inventory Item Definition” in Chapter 7. Also read all the sections related to warehouse zones and locations. Omit reading the other sections such as “Commodity Classifications”, “Package Types” and “Locations Definitions”.

All resources such as user manuals are available from Page One, the welcome screen in your Magaya software and from the Learning Center page of www.magaya.com. Also search the Knowledgebase for keywords.

Note: “##” represents student number.

Enter WH zones and locations in your Magaya Explorer using the following data:

Warehousing>>Locations>>click Actions button>>select Warehouse Zones>> +

Create these Zones: ##ZoneA, ##Rec1, ##Rec2, ##Ship and assign them to Parent Zone: ##Warehouse

The following screenshot shows 00ZoneA. For your zones, replace “00” with your number. Assign your zones to your warehouse. Ensure your division is correct.

Warehousing>>Locations>> +

Create the following locations: ##A1L, ##A1R, ##A2L, ##A2R, ## A3L, ##A3R, ##A4L, ##A4R, ##A5L, ##A5R, ##A6L, ##A6R, and assign them to Type: Storage, Zone: ##ZoneA

Create a location called ##Ship1 and ##Ship2 and assign it to Type: Shipping, Zone: ##Ship

Create a location called ##Receiving and assign it to Type: Receiving, Zone: ##Rec1

Enter the following Inventory Item Definitions:

Go to the Warehousing > Inventory Item Definitions>> + >>Add Inventory Item

Part Number: ##RT444, Description: Rattan Glass Table Set; Model: Condo

Package: Box; Dimensions: LxWxH 95 x 67 x 30; Weight 33 lbs

Part Number: ##RT333, Description: Rattan Coffee Table, Model: Sunset

Package: Box; Dimensions: LxWxH 33 x 55 x 23;Weight: 18 lbs
